SINCE 1943 THREE GENERATIONS of the Robbins Family have
owned and operated Robbins Auto Top Company. We began as an
automotive trim and upholstery shop and developed into a full scale
manufacturer of convertible Tops, Tonneau Covers, Glass and Plastic Rear
Windows and other products for convertibles. In April 2001, Robbins
moved into a new 53,000 sq. ft. plant in Oxnard, CA. We look forward to
providing our customers with the highest quality products available for
many years to come.
ROBBINS CONVERTIBLE TOPS feature distinctive styling, fine
custom workmanship, and attention to detail. All Robbins convertible
Tops, Tonneau Covers, Glass and Plastic Windows and other products are
cut from precise, computer designed patterns, carefully tested in our own
R & D Installation Facility. Original factory designs are followed and
improved upon when necessary, by adding extra reinforcements or
components as part of our commitment to quality in manufacturing our
convertible Tops. We use only the highest quality domestic and imported
toppings to manufacture our products, and we provide factory style
extrusions and components with our Tops. We Dielectrically Heatseal our
seams, primarily using film adhesives, but depending on the product’s
design and the topping in which it is being made, thermo cement
adhesives may also be used, as well as hot air welders; to obtain strong
permanent bonds. The solution dyed polyester black thread that we use to
sew our products offers the highest resistance to fading of any thread
RECYCLED PACKAGING. All Robbins products are shipped in boxes
made from 100% recycled cardboard, and our Glass Windows are packed
in recycled bubblepack. We also recycle our Plastic Window scrap, as well
as all cardboard cartons and wood pallets in which our raw materials and
other items are shipped to us.
